There are a variety of shade loving plants that provide texture, but few are as fragrant as Guacamole Hosta.
As you may have guessed, the name Guacamole comes from the avocado green color of this hosta’s variegated foliage that transitions from bright centers to darker green margins. Guacamole has fluted white flowers that are fragrant and provide a soft sweet scent in summer that attracts hummingbirds and butterflies. Hostas are perfect for shady areas and are easy to maintain. Try pairing Guacamole with other hosta varieties–there are a number of sizes and textures to choose from, in hues from yellow to blue.
