Team lead merchandiser

The Team Lead Merchandiser is a critical link between consumers and the products on store shelves. The position ensures the right product is in the right place at the right time to maximize Watson’s sales.
This position reports to the VP – Visual Director, provides visual merchandising leadership for the store and supervises the Merchandise Assistants.
Executes provided display plan; ensuring that plans and changes to store schedule are adhered to efficiently.
Leads a team of Merchandise Assistants, ensuring new or changing products are safely and efficiently stocked and aligned with the Watson’s style and brand.
Communicates with VP – Visual Director and store management to identify and resolve issues to ensure 100% completion of projects in a timely manner.
Oversees special projects as they are assigned.
Provides leadership and direction to the Merchandising team.
Active on the floor, setting a positive example, and tracking merchandise through to sale.
Assisting customers with sales as needed.
Previous merchandise experience required.
Merchandise portfolio desired.
A clear understanding of design-centered merchandising processes.
Ability to work without a planogram.
Sales experience desired.
Collaborative team mentality, proactive, fast-paced, flexible, self-starter.
Dedicated and strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
Clear, concise, and transparent communication style; asks for clarification when needed.
Innovative forward thinker.
Ability to prioritize and multi-task.
Must be able to lift or move up to 50lbs, and push/pull racks on wheels of 100lbs with or without reasonable accommodation.
Ability to stand, climb, squat, bend, twist, and stand for extended periods of time.
Willing to work flexible and long hours during peak season, with weekends required.
